Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
Since early 2009, Oceana’s Western Cape business sites have been hosting presentations of industrial theatre to introduce the revised and updated Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Actors sketched a few situations in the work environment where conflicts of interest (between one’s own interests and those of the employer) and misuse of company property could lead to unwelcome and stressful consequences.
The Code was adopted in 1996 and updated in 2004 and 2008. The terms form part of Oceana employees’ terms of employment, and apply equally to all directors, employees, agents and representatives of the company.
Why does Oceana have such a Code?
To help demonstrate to all stakeholders the Group’s commitment to fair dealing and integrity in the conduct of its business.
